AIDS is decimating the continent of Africa and having seen first hand how this is affecting people in Malawi it is important that events like this happen so that young people can have the opportunity to learn more about the disease and how to help others.

I think that If I knew somebody with AIDS I would show them support and help them through the disease.

i fell sympathy for people with aids. i would feal destroyed if i found out my family or freinds had aids. aids is a sexualy transmitted disease

If someone i loved had aids, id probably be seriously upset, it would affect what i do, because id probably need to help them out a bit.

if i had aids it would destroy my life a don’t no how a would live having to tell the family about it. if i knew anyone with aids i would do my best to support and help them as much i could

I think if someone I knew had aids I would offer them support, help and offer to go to the doctors to see what they could do about.

If i knew someone with Aids I would help them get though it but I would also watch what I was doing. If I had Aids I would think my life was over and I don’t know how I would tell my Friends or Family

If i found out someone i knew had AIDS i would try to offer my help and support. and would feel quite sorry for them

People that have aids are on a death sentance and i belive that those that have it should be cared for and looked after. Even there familys afterwards should be componsated.

aids can kill and anyone can get it not just boys or old people.

aids is when the wrong use of sex is done
people who have aids either have had it since they were born or they have got it off of someone
I’ll be honest in saying that people can be stupid at points when drunk or sober and have sex or other stuff with people they don’t know
and possibly don’t know if they have aids or any sexual diseases.

i feel like days like this at cathkin are great for raising awareness for worldwide problems such as HIV/AIDS.

I feel that people who have aids are no different from anyone who has not got the infection. I think the aids day is very interesting so far and i am enjoying it.

What do I know about AIDS? That it starts with HIV, and can be contracted through dozens of ways e.g. unclean needles, infected blood, unprotected sex…
Have I learned anything today? That one in 3 sufferers are undiagnosed.

When I ride around in my sleigh, I feel sad as my small village of Christmasland of which I am the ruler has been devestated by the HIV. I sometimes laugh in the face of death – he doesn’t laugh back (ooh, sounds like a Horatio quote eh?) But as my next act of dominance, I shall send small bands of mercenaries to hunt down the AIDS virus in its homeland.

The most important thing to do is get tested for HIV, even if you have had protected sex. It is crucial that you should find out if you have HIV because it could affect others if you have unprotected sex in your lifetime. Anyone can have it.
HIV cannot be contracted by kissing or hugging. Even though people might have the disease, they are no different from you. Everyone deserves to be treated the same, regardless whether they are infected or not.

Aids is bad…. although it can kill you, theres a bright side to everything, im sure it will make ytou apreciate the ordinary and everyday much more than you do now

These kind of events are really important and give loads of information to everyone involved. Totally opened my eyes and made me realise what other people are going through

I feel that AIDS is a virus that is often misunderstood. Many people believe that you can only get AIDS if you fit into a certain category e.g. You can only become infected if you are homosexual. As we have learned today this is not the case. The truth is that AIDS can affect anyone. I think workshops and shows like the ones we have seen today portray very important information. People need to know about HIV and AIDS and they need to know about the different medication and treatments available if they ever are infected. I appreciate what the guests at the school are doing and feel I now have a clearer understanding of the virus. I fully support the programme and feel that there should be more information presentations like this.

i feel that aids are a really serious thing in the world because a lot of people die from it. A lot of children are orphaned because of aids i feel that if i had aids it would be really scary and i would feel that i would want to know that i have them

Being Told you have aids in a death sentance, as currently there is no cure for aids, or the HIV Virus. It is a very terrifying thing to be told that you do have this virus.

Aids is a very dominated subject at the moment and i feel strongly about it ..
i feel dear sypathy for people who suffer this disease
